Want to give your oat porridge a special flavour? Tired of plain oatmeal or just want to save some time in the morning whilst still getting a delicious, healthy and nutritious breakfast?

TRY THIS OVERNIGHT OAT RECIPE USING OUR FREEZE DRIED BEETROOT OR BLACKCURRANT POWDER!

Freeze-dried powder will add a boost of nutrition and a beautiful pink or purple color to your morning meal.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup milk of your choice (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon freeze-dried beetroot or blackcurrant powder (or both)
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Sliced bananas, to taste
  • Granola, to taste

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the oats, milk, yogurt, freeze-dried powder(s), honey (if using), and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
  2. Transfer the mixture to a jar or container with a tight-fitting lid. Cover and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 2-3 hours.
  3. In the morning, remove the oats from the refrigerator. Top with sliced bananas and granola. Enjoy!
